Born and raised in Tangier, Morocco, Lamia Mrabet has always been surrounded by the delicious aroma of Mediterranean cuisine. Naturally, this led to an interest in cooking and experimenting with different flavors at a very young age. When Mrabet eventually left Tangier and came to the US, she was astonished by the near nonexistence of authentic Moroccan flavors and decided to take it upon herself to share this beauty with the American people. She started her own Moroccan spice company in 2019 under the alias, The Queen of Spice. Her wonderfully fragrant and tasteful spice mixes bring the flavor of not only Morocco but many other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern countries to everyone’s table.
